Research Resources

The CDDI aims to enable research progress by helping members access research resources. Key resources at UC San Diego are listed below. Additional sources across the UC are listed at the UC Core and UC Drug Discovery Consortium websites.

Computational Modeling

The CDDI and participating labs are making the Molecular Operating Environment (MOE) molecular modeling and visualization package from Chemical Computing Group available to UCSD labs. MOE includes tools for ligand design, conformational search, property calculations, and analysis. For more information, contact Dr. Robert Konecny.

The UCSD Drug Development Pipeline offers UCSD researchers and other clients a range of in vitro and in vivo DMPK studies, including pharmacokinetics, GLP PK/PD and toxicology. For more information, contact Dr. Jeremiah Momper.

Databases - Informatics

The CDDI coordinates licensing of the Collaborative Drug Discovery Vault, a cloud-based tool to share and analyze data for drug discovery projects. For more information, contact Dr. Jair Siqueira-Neto. The BindingDB database provides browsing, search, and download access to over a million experimentally measured binding data for small, drug-like molecules with proteins that are or may become drug targets. For further information, contact Dr. Michael Gilson.

An interdisciplinary research center based at UC San Diego, CDIPD develops treatments for diseases affecting hundreds of millions of people worldwide, but which are largely ignored by traditional drug and vaccine discovery companies.

High Throughput Screening Services

The UC San Diego Screening Core Laboratory provides a range of assay development and high-throughput screening services and is directed by Dr. Jair Siqueira-Neto.

UCLA's Molecular Screening Shared Resource (MSSR) offers a 200K+ compound library and operates on a fee-for-service basis without intellectual property claims or negotiations. For more information, contact Dr. Robert Damoiseaux.
